Welcome to Henry Cavill Source, your online source for British actor, Henry Cavill.
Henry is known for his roles in The Count of Monte Cristo and the hit series, The Tudors.
He is set to become a bigger star with upcoming roles in The Cold Light of Day, Immortals, and Man of Steel.
This website hopes to become your top source for the latest information, news, and pictures about Henry and his career. Thank you for visiting and check back soon.
Henry Cavill, let us assure you, all that hard work you’re doing on the “Man of Steel” set is not going unnoticed. The copious photos of the future Superman strutting his stuff on the Vancouver set with a scruffy beard and an impossibly chiseled chest have been very much on our radar ’round these parts, and those pics — combined with the first look at Cavill in his red and blue tights — have us fully sold on the actor’s ability to embody the Last Son of Krypton.
It’s a relief for Cavill to know that the fans are on his side, the actor told MTV News when we spoke with him at the “Immortals” press junket over the weekend. After all, just because bullets bounce off his chest doesn’t mean his ego can’t be bruised!
“I think the best part has been recently when people have sort of seen all the work that has gone into it,” Cavill said of the fan reactions to his Man of Steel. “I think I won a lot of people over, and I felt the support really come behind me, which is a really good feeling, because when you’re doing this all for [the fans], telling a story for them … you want to do it justice.”
“It’s wonderful to have all the people online going, ‘This is great, this is amazing, I can’t wait, thank goodness it’s him.’ It’s wonderful, so thank you to everyone out there,” he added, speaking to camera. “I do appreciate it.”
As many of you already know, Henry and the cast of Man of Steel are filming in British Columbia, Canada. Lorraine Louie snapped some pictures on the set.
Got a sweet treat in the mail just now. CraveOnline reader Lorraine Louie was on the set of Man of Steel in British Columbia and just snagged these sweet pecs… er, “pics,” of Henry Cavill bearded and shirtless. (Lorraine Louie? L.L.? Curious…) There’s not much information about the actual movie to be gleaned from this, apart from the fact that eventually Superman’s going to need a shave. (How’s he going to do that, exactly? Does Gillette offer kryptonite refill packs?) Oh, and a change of pants… which apparently he already has.
Let’s take a break from recent movie news and revisit one of Henry’s older movies. The Count of Monte Cristo, one of my favorite movies, recently was released on Blu-ray. I replaced the DVD screencaps with better-quality versions.

The Man of Steel will be heading up, up and away to Vancouver Island and the Vancouver area this fall to film what’s believed to be the next Superman movie.
Casting calls and filming for “Autumn Frost” — widely reported to be the code name for “Man of Steel,” the next Superman film — have already taken place in Chicago.
But according to a letter received by municipal council in Ucluelet, on the west coast of Vancouver Island, filming will take place there and in the Vancouver area, too.
“Autumn Frost will film in the Lower Mainland and Vancouver Island from early September through to the end of January 2012,” Rino Pace, locations manager for production company Third Act Productions Inc., wrote in a letter to Ucluelet council.
“We have been preparing the film since early spring, which includes building ‘sets’ in the various ‘stages’ in and around the Vancouver area…”
Pace said Ucluelet has the “look” the directors and production designer envisioned.
While in Ucluelet, filming will take place on land owned by a local First Nation and on a municipal street and the town will play the role of a small, Alaskan fishing village. Filming will also take place on the ocean and at an industrial dock.
Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Pictures have already announced that British actor Henry Cavill will play Superman. Cavill co-starred in “The Tudors.”
More set photos from Man of Steel have surfaced online! Thank you to photographers Deanna Tickle and Todd Gould. You can also watch a brief video of Henry on set right here.
Photographer Deanna Tickle has snapped some shots of Henry Cavill filming at a Plano fire station and posted them on The Man Of Steel Facebook Page. The photographs while not significant do show that Cavill does not appear to be wearing the Clark Kent traditional glasses.
