Season 2 reveals a taste of Ciri’s true power as the child of the Elder Blood, capable of opening portals to other worlds and releasing terrible monsters upon the Continent. Here’s the newly-released official logline for Season 3: “As monarchs, mages and beasts of the Continent compete to capture her, Geralt takes Ciri of Cintra into hiding, determined to protect his newly reunited family against those who threaten to destroy it. Entrusted with Ciri’s magical training, Yennefer leads them to the protected fortress of Aretuza, where she hopes to discover more about the girl’s untapped powers; instead, they discover they’ve landed in a battlefield of political corruption, dark magic and treachery. They must fight back, put everything on the line — or risk losing each other forever.” This season’s episodes will be directed by Stephen Surjik (Reacher, The Umbrella Academy), Gandja Monteiro (Brand New Cherry Flavor, The Chi), Loni Peristere (American Horror Story, A Series of Unfortunate Events) and Bola Ogun (Raising Dion, Lucifer).
So stock up on elixirs because you’ll want to be prepared for monsters and other news as Season 3 approaches.
